Director of Talent Management – CalPortland—Glendora, CA
Function:
Leads a team that plans, directs and coordinates employment activities, such as developing job descriptions, preparing job requisitions; recruiting qualified applicants; conducting screening interviews; administering tests; checking references and background; evaluating applicants’ qualifications; selecting, hiring and placing candidates; coordinating onboarding; developing candidate sources.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages day to day employment activities including the coordination of job requisition approvals; sourcing candidates; and job offers
- Supports field HR staff in sourcing candidates
- Identifies recruiting resources and negotiates fees and rates
- Designs, develops and maintains the employment process in the organization (including description, measurement, reporting, correcting deficiencies)
- Monitors and constantly seeks ways to reduce the cost of the employment process
- Establishes and implements overall recruiting strategies for different job profiles and functions in the organization
- Coaches hiring managers on effective interviewing skills
- Monitors labor legislation and implements required changes to keep the process compliant
- Responsible for employment automation systems such as an applicant tracking system
