Function:

Leads a team that plans, directs and coordinates employment activities, such as developing job descriptions, preparing job requisitions; recruiting qualified applicants; conducting screening interviews; administering tests; checking references and background; evaluating applicants’ qualifications; selecting, hiring and placing candidates; coordinating onboarding; developing candidate sources.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages day to day employment activities including the coordination of job requisition approvals; sourcing candidates; and job offers
  • Supports field HR staff in sourcing candidates
  • Identifies recruiting resources and negotiates fees and rates
  • Designs, develops and maintains the employment process in the organization (including description, measurement, reporting, correcting deficiencies)
  • Monitors and constantly seeks ways to reduce the cost of the employment process
  • Establishes and implements overall recruiting strategies for different job profiles and functions in the organization
  • Coaches hiring managers on effective interviewing skills
  • Monitors labor legislation and implements required changes to keep the process compliant
  • Responsible for employment automation systems such as an applicant tracking system
